Course Title: Algebra Basics
Who should take this course: Students focused on understanding Algebra Basics, including how to work with integers, variables, and equations.

Course Activities: Khan exercises, group video chats, articles, interactive writing
Weekly Commitment: 2-3 hours

Course Title: Writing for the HiSET
Who should take this course: This will be a writing-intensive course focused on preparing for the essay section of the HiSET. If you are interested in improving your writing skills, then this course is for you!

Course Activities: Videos, articles, writing activities, peer review, instructor feedback
Weekly Commitment: 2 hours

Course Title: Analyzing Social Issues
Who should take this course: Students interested in learning about and discussing politics, current social issues, and debate.
HiSET Subject Focus: Reading, Writing, Social Studies, Critical Thinking
Weekly Commitment: 2 hours
Course Length: 3 weeks

Course Title: Decimals, Fractions, and Percents
Are you ready to master the concept of part of a whole? A decimal like .5 is the same as the fraction 1/2 and as the percent 50%. In this 6 week course, we will explore the basics of parts of a whole by looking at how to convert between these common forms, and how to use them in calculations.
Who should take this course: This will be a math course focused on parts of a whole (decimals, fractions, and percents)
HiSET Subject Focus: Math
How will the course work: We will continue using Khan Academy; but instead of just working on your own, there will be assigned activities each week, including videos, practice problems, discussion groups, and a final project!
Weekly Commitment: 2 hours
