But first, did you know that the U.S. Transportation system costs $3 TRILLION dollars per year? To continue the habit of reading for 1/2 hour each day, check out this article that explores what the future of transportation could look like.

Summarize the article; in your summary, be sure to discuss at least 1 of the problems and solutions identified in the article.

New assignment for all eLearn Students
Starting this week, we will submit bi-weekly Khan Academy progress reports. The short questionnaire will only take about 5-10 minutes to complete, and will help you get in the habit of tracking your own progress on Khan and setting menaingful goals.

New Course
Are you interested in politics and social issues? Do you want to research and debate topics like gun rights, drug laws, and minimum wage? The next eLearn course, "Analyzing Social Issues," is great for students that want to practice social studies, reading, and writing, while exploring these important issues.
The 3-week course stars on Monday, June 14th.
Introducing our Newest Success Coach!
I'm excited to announce the the eLearn staff is growing. Ms. Shandi Anderson is our newest eLearn Success Coach. Shandi is a former teacher that is now here to help eLearn students be successful with online learning!
As you can read in her biography, Shandi is a mother of 3 and specialized as a teacher in helping students build time management skills and with setting priorities, both of which are necessary skills for being successful in an online class.
Shandi is available for conferences during the following times:
Mondays, 1-3pm
Thursdays, 8-10pm
So whether you are interested in an online math tutoring session or just want to check in with someone to talk about whatever, be sure to sign up for a conference!
