Good Morning, eLearn Students!
As an update, the hours from the past week have been updated! You can check them out here. And, in case you were wondering, here is how hours are calculated:
Khan Academy measures the amount of time you spend completing exercising and watching videos. So, just having Khan open on your computer won't mean much; the site only measures time spent where you are engaged in the course. You can learn more here.
For this week, students that completed the "Weekly Planner" assignment received 1/2 hour in the "Blend" column. In the future, this column will be used for the online courses in Reading, Writing, Math, Social Studies, and Science. And as a reminder, you can register for those courses here.
Also, remember that the purpose of tracking hours is to determine when you are eligible to return to the City Park Campus to post-test (to see how much progress you've made and how close you are to being ready for the HiSET). Post-Testing happens when you reach 60 hours. So, don't worry too much about hours as much as completing courses in Khan Academy and on Blendspace; ultimately, your goal should be to master content and build skills. So as long as you are making a consistent habit of getting online regularly to study, you will find success in the program!
