Hello! Christin Smith, here.

Born and raised in Ohio, I attended college at three different schools in three different states before eventually earning a bachelor's degree in 2011 from Shimer College in Chicago.

I moved to New Orleans in 2013 and taught high school algebra at John Erhet and then at Joseph S. Clark before moving to Delgado's Adult Ed Program. I am no stranger to different education systems and ways of learning. Math education, in particular, drew me into the world of teaching. My love of math regularly contrasted with a others' distaste for the subject.

This widespread distaste is vastly disproportionate to distaste of other subjects! Why? I aim to spread math love and number sense. I think appreciating the beauty of math and logic increases confidence in more than just test-taking.
