Week 1: Lines and Shapes
Start Here
Geometry is filled with vocabulary terms. This week, we will start with the foundation of all Geometry, including points, lines, and other shapes. To get started, check out the LESSON OBJECTIVES next.
Lesson Objectives
Each week, there will be a list of objectives (goals). This is what you should be able to accomplish by the end of the lesson. So, you can use this as a checklist to monitor and measure your learning! At this end of this module, you should be able to:
Define points, lines, segments, rays, and other common Geometry shapes
Measure line segments on a number line
Describe basic types of triangles
To continue with Week 1, check out the LESSON ACTIVITIES next.
Lesson Activities
Each week, there will also be a list of learning activities. These are the different things to do to finish each week successfully. You can also use this as a checklist to make sure you've finished the entire assignment:

Create a vocabulary guide in Part 2
Complete practice problems on Khan Academy in Part 3
(Optional) - Participate in the live video chat in Part 4
Estimated time to complete: 2-3 hours
These activities are due by 9pm on Tuesday, September 15th.
