Course Home
Welcome to Basic Geometry! This 6-week course will help you master things like Lines, Shapes, Coordinate Planes, Area, Perimeter, Volume, and the Pythagorean Theorem. Go get started, read through this Course Home. The links for each activity are at the bottom of the page.
Course Parts
Each week, there will be several activities to complete, including:
Khan Academy videos and activities
Google Docs writing activities
Live group video chats (optional)
How to be Successful with the Course
Check your inbox regularly, including every Wednesday for weekly updates and assignments
Complete the Khan skills, videos, and writing assignments each week
Respond to feedback provided by the instructor (via Google Docs)
Take your time - each week, there will be several parts to the activity. So break it up; just do a little bit each day as you make progress through the course!
How Khan Exercises Work
Each week, new skills will be recommended for you to practice, and they will show up directly in your dashboard for BASIC GEOMETRY). You can also click "Home," then "Progress", then "Coach Recommendations" to see all the skills to practice.
Live Weekly Webinars
Each week, there will be 1-hour webinars for students and teachers to get online together, ask questions, and review coursework. Students can choose to ask questions or just listen along as we work through the course. The first webinar will be held:

Submitting Late Assignments
It's always better to turn something in late than not at all, since you can still practice your reading and writing skills. So if you fall behind, that's okay! Just come back to this page and catch up when you can!
