Welcome to our first writing unit of the session. Over the next few weeks, we will be practicing the following skills:
Conducting effective research using internet sources;
Summarizing the main idea of articles;
Identifying supporting details used to explain main ideas;
Writing persuasive essays.
In addition to these reading and writing skills, we will also be practicing the following computer skills:
Internet research;
Copying and pasting source links;
Using Google Docs to write and revise an essay;
Using Google Slides to present the findings of our research.
