Good Afternoon, Everyone!
Today marks the start of the new student agreement! Therefore, over the next week, be sure to complete the following in order to stay in good standing with the program:
3 hours of online coursework per week (Khan Academy and this month's courses are a great place to start)
1 phone conference (every 2 weeks - click here to access next week's sign-up no)
The purpose of these new standards is to help motivate all of us to work harder towards meeting our academic, professional, and personal goals. With advances in the internet and educational technologies, online learning has never been easier or more exciting. I'm looking forward to continuing to work with everyone as we navigate the complex web of learning resources to find the tools necessary to meet our academic, professional, and personal goals!
What happens if I don't complete 3 hours per week?
That depends; if you miss 1 week, that's okay. We all get busy sometimes and aren't able to meet our individual goals. The requirements are as follows:
If you miss 1 week, you will be placed on academic probation;
If you miss 2 weeks, you will be placed on hold and cannot continue in the online course until you've participated in a phone conference;
If you miss 3 weeks, you will be ineligible to continue with the eLearn Program.
You'll also notice that there is a new column in the hours tracker that makes it easier to see if you've missed any weeks.
As always, let me know if you've got any questions. And I'm looking forward to this next chapter in the eLearn Program!
