Hey Everyone,
With the Mardi Gras holidays fast approaching, it's a great time to rest, recharge and get ready for some new courses. So with that said, just a few updates on this beautiful Tuesday afternoon:
New course to start in 2 weeks
New eLearn requirements
Conference sign-up - last chance!
New Courses
Building good writing skills is a fundamental piece for success both on the HiSET and for those of you that want to transition to college after you finish the program. This new writing intensive course, which is scheduled to start on Sunday, February 22nd, is a crash course in HiSET and college readiness writing.

New eLearn Requirements
Starting after Mardi Gras, there will be new requirements for all students that want to stay enrolled, including:
A minimum of 2 hours of online coursework per week (either in Khan Academy or our other reading/writing courses)
A phone conference with Joey or Darrel once every 2 weeks
These new rules are designed to make sure all students are maintaining a good routine and building momentum towards earning a HISET.
Stay tuned and check your email after Mardi Gras for an updated student contract that you will need to sign in order to stay enrolled in the online classes.
Last Chance Conference Sign-Up
This is the last week of conference calls before the Mardi Gras break, so be sure to sign-up for a time today. There are slots available throughout this week, and the phone call will give us a chance to catch-up, share resources, and set a goal for the new few weeks!

As always, there are plenty of new options for completing online hours, including completing individual reading and writing lessons on topics like driverless cars, apartheid in South Africa and Google Nova! As you can see in the image below, accessing these lessons is easy to do from the eLearn Homepage through the top menu:
Let me know if you've got any questions, and I'll see everyone online this week!
