How to be Successful with the Course
Here are some tips for being successful with this course:
Check your inbox regularly, including every Monday for weekly updates and assignments
Practice each of your suggested skills - be sure to budget time to get on Khan Academy and practice the recommended skills
Use a desktop/laptop - While you can complete the Khan activities on your phone if you want, you will need to use a desktop or laptop for the weekly writing activities. So make sure to find time each week to be on a laptop/desktop.
Take your time - each week, there will be several parts to the activity. So break it up; just do a little bit each day as you make progress through the assignment!
How Khan Exercises Work
Each week, new skills will be recommended for you to practice, and they will show up directly in your dashboard (for Pre-Algebra). The recommended skills will be based on what you mastered already and what's left in the Decimals, Fractions, and Percents course.
Each week, new skills will be recommended on Monday; be sure to practice each by the following Sunday!
Live Weekly Video Chats
Each week, there will be 1-hour video chats for students and teachers to get online together, ask questions, and review coursework. Students can choose to ask questions or just listen along as we work through the course. The first webinar will be held:
Tuesday, November 10th, 6-7pm
