The subject of my creation is "a kitten skiing down a mountain with a mouse balancing on it's head" I was given a prompt to draw, and I did exactly as I was told except I added a couple other details, like the tie, and the trees on either side. I used pencil for the whole drawing. I didn't choose to draw this drawing, I was given a random prompt and followed the directions. An element and value that I used was line, I used this by creating my whole drawing. For the trees especially, because I made them by drawing two lines on either side of each other, and and connecting lines while drawing in a downwards motion so it looks like triangle going downwards on he tree's for pine trees.

A composition rule that I used in my artwork balance. I had drawn the cat a little bit to the left, but mostly center, but there was a ton of white space I needed to fill out to make it look complete and a little more balanced than what it was looking like before. I did the by drawing a trail for the cat to go down, and trees on either side of it. My project looked way better by just filling in the white space around it, this made my drawing look more complete and finished, by adding those trees to either side.

There isn't really a meaning to this drawing because I didn't come up with the artwork, a prompt did, and I followed the directions it gave me. Well, I guess this project relates to my life in a way, because I do downhill ski during the winter every sunday, and it is very fun. I would make my artwork stronger by adding m=color to the drawing, because, right now it looks very bland and boring. If I had more time to work on this project, I would also like to make it a little less messy and neaten it up a bit, especially the trees.
