Shading Candy Drawing

The subject of my drawing is a ripped open starburst wrapper on the left, with two starbursts on the right. I made this drawing by ripping open a burst wrapper and placing it with the two starburst to the way I liked it, and then I hot glued the wrapper and starburst down to the paper. I then took an HB pencil and 1inch border on another piece of paper. I then sketched out the starbursts and wrapper and colored it in with colored pencil. I chose to draw a starburst because I though it would be easy (it wasn't) and starburst are on of my favorite candies. Elements and principals I used are, shape, as I show this with the starburst and the candy wrapper, and color, I show this as you can see in the wrapper and starburst candies.

Composition rules and techniques I showcased in my artwork are, grouping. I used this by drawing the two starbursts together, and the wrapper pieces together. I also used rule of thirds. I used rule of thirds by drawing the candy wrapper in the 1/3 and 2/3 section and I drew the starburst candies in the 3/3 section. My project evolved as you can see I did an okay job shading the starburst candies, but then I did the tiny piece of the wrapper which was really bad, and then I did the big part of the candy wrapper. While drawing the biggest part of the candy wrapper, I finally figured it out, and it didn't end up looking as bad as the first tries.

The meaning behind this artwork is don't give up because if you keep trying you can get anything to be perfect as I tried two other times and then I finally figured out how to shade the wrapper. Something that bothers me is the shading of the tiny piece of the wrapper because It's really light and it doesn't look right. A way that I would fic it is making it darker blending some parts better.
