The subject of my artwork is a tree made out of hotdogs, hamburgers, pizza, and tacos. I made this by getting a random whatchamadrawit card and drawing what it tells me too. I then took a pencil and drew out a hotdog tree using pencil and colored everything in with colored pencil and adding extra pizza, hamburger, and tacos t the tree with pencil and color pencil. While making this, I accidentally got purple watercolor on one side of the tree, so I added it to the other parts of the tree with a paint brush. I chose to create this specific artwork because the other card I drew was very complicated and I thought this one would be more fun.
Some composition rules and techniques I used in my artwork were, informal balance as you can see the tree branches on the right are down farther than the ones on the left, but it still looks nice. I also used rule of thirds to have the two less-main parts in the 1/3 and 3/3 section and the main part of the tree in the 2/3 section. My project evolved from a small piece of paper to a way bigger and more in depth drawing on a bigger piece of paper.
The meaning behind this artwork is to branch out and try new things like foods for example, because you never know if you are going to like it or not. My project relates to my life because I don't really like change and trying new things, but this year I'am challenging myself to try new things and take risks ike joining the tennis team even though I've never played, it might be fun so why not? Something that bothers me is the purple in the tree it was on accident but it really makes me mad and I was really proud of how y tree came out because I am really bad at drawing trees and I thought this one was pretty good. Next time, I'll be more careful with the tools I use on my projects incase something like this happens again.
