Capsule Drawings

The subject of my creations are my eye, an drawing pencil, the art room hallway and my left hand. I used a 6B and H pencil for my hand and to sketch out all of the drawings. I also used color pencil in the linear perspective drawing and watercolor for my eye and still life drawing. I drew them all by looking at each subject and drawing it. I chose to create this specific artwork because I thought each of them would be the most fun and easiest to draw in my time limit out of the options I had. Specific elements and principles I used in my artwork was line in every drawing but specifically linear perspective in the walls and tiles to make everything look precise and accurate. I think I used balance throughout each drawing because I tried Each time to put the subject somewhere that would look presentable.

Composition rules and techniques that I used in all of my drawings are, rule of thirds in my linear perspective drawing putting the main subject in or near the center and the walls/hair and face on the other sides forming the 1/3 section and 3/3 sections. I also used lowkey lighting in my still life drawing. You can tell this because there isn't a lot of highlights, and in high key lighting would have a lot of highlights. In a lot of ways all of my projects evolved especially my still life project because I thought it was going to look bad but with a lot of work it actually turned out pretty well.

The meaning behind my artwork is have grit, because while I was making these I thought they were going to look so bad but I just had to persevere and keep working, and I actually ended up being very proud of most of them. One way I think my artwork could be stronger is by adding more detail. I don't like to take a lot of time and put tiny tiny details in the background or sometime in the foreground because I am not very good at it and I don't want my projects to look bad. But if I make the details and practice doing it, I could get better.
