The idea of this artwork is to visually see the improvement with my art as the years goes on. This project relates to my life because all of these drawings have to do with me. For example that is my self portrait on the left, and the still life in the middle is of something that i personally hate..tomatoes, and on the right, is my house.

This work was all made with a 6H pencil. On the left I used the 6H pencil to sketch out everything and shade in where there were dark spots. I then took my 6H pencil again and made small triangles in the background to fill in the negative space and colored them in orange. For the middle still life drawing, is I took out a tomato and sketched and shaded with a 6H pencil. And on the right, my architectural drawing, I stood outside of my house and used a 6H pencil to sketch and shade it out.

As a process I just sketched out what I was looking at which was quite difficult to look at something live and draw it. I used line ad shape to help me with this as well as texture and balance. My project evolved from plan to plan because i wasn't positive on how I going to go about making these. My next steps could be to add more color and contrast but since these were just capsule drawings I didn't think of color to be the most important thing as we are trying to see improvement throughout the year.
