The subject of my project is the world and it shows how everybody and everything is equal from big to the smallest of small. I made this artwork with acrylic paint and first I sketched it out with a 4H pencil. I chose to create this specific artwork because when my class was given this project, I thought of the world as a community and how everyone is equal. Specific elements and principles I used in this artwork was value with the contrasting lights and darks in my painting. I also used, movement with the poles on Earth.
Composition rules ad techniques I used in my artwork was, grouping with the different groups of people and living things, and rule of thirds, with the whale and Asian man on the left, the earth and the scuba diver in the middle and the plankton and the African women on the right. My project evolved by at first not knowing what to do, and coming up with different ideas until I came up with this one and started to pursue it.
The meaning behind this artwork is that every living thing from microscoping to the highest of the pyramid is equal. No matter ethnicity, size, color, or shape everything is equal. My project relates to my life because I do feel strongly about this subject and hope that other people do as well. Thing that I would change about this artwork is, some of the detail in the faces it a little off and unproportional, so I would change that in my artwork to make it more nice to look at.
