Shoe Zoomed drawing

The subject of my first creation is a shoe. The second creation, is an ocean with a sunrise. I used a pencil to sketch the shoes, than a darker pencil to overlap the sketchiness in the first drawing, and a window type piece of paper to draw the zoomed parts of the shoe. In the second drawing, I used a pencil to sketch the third zoomed in part of my shoe, and permanent marker to define the lines more. I then used color pencil to color in the drawing and make it into a sunrise by the ocean. I didn't chose to draw the zoomed in parts of my show, but I did decide in the second drawing, how to color it and what to make the zoomed show drawing into. I made the zoomed shoe drawing into a sunrise by the ocean because I used to be really into drawing this before, I hadn't done it in a long time, and it usually looks pretty good. Elements and principles I used are, emphasis, because I emphasised the colors of the sunrise. And I also used space, I used all of the white space by coloring everything in to form a picture of the sunrise.

A composition rule and technique I used in my first drawing is, informal balance. I used this especially in the first box because the tongue of the shoe is overpowering the other part of the shoe on the left making it appear to have informal balance. In the second drawing, composition rules and techniques I used were, rule of thirds, and grouping. I used rule of thirds in my drawing by coloring the three different sections of my drawing, like the sun, the sky, and the ocean, splitting the drawing in three, proving that I used the rule of thirds. I also used grouping, because I colored and made different sections of the drawing. Like I colored and made the ocean, I colored and made the sun, and I colored and made the sky. When I was making the drawing, It needed more blending from the sun to the sky, so I added more orange and red to blend the colors more.

I don't think there is a meaning to the first drawing, but in the second drawing, I think the meaning is, that everything has a rise to it. Like your life, there is always a good part in your life, if not there will be. And like in your day, there is always a good part in your day, if not there will be. The first drawing relates to my life because it is my shoe , so it kind of has to relate to my life in that way. The second drawing relates to my life because whenever I am having a bad day, I always tell myself that it will get better, and something nice will happen. One thing that bothers me in the second drawing is the blend between the orange red in the sky, to the pink and purple in the sky, in order to fix this I would add more purple to the lower part of the sky, so that it blends better with the purple.
