Beautiful Oops

The subject of my creation is a dandelion, with seeds blowing in the wind. The main "oops" dot on the page is the dandelion seeds, and the tiny dots to the right, are two of the seeds blowing in the wind to the right. I used a pencil to draw the drawing, and colored pencils to to add color to the drawing. I was inspired by an oops drawing that was shown in class on the board, and I decided to draw a dandelion. Elements I used were, line, color, and space. Principles, I used were balance, and movement. This work is arranged in formal balance so that it looks appealing to the eye, and does not seem off when you look at it.

A composition rule and technique I used in my artwork was balance. I had the dandelion seeds flow in the wind to the top right corner, and I drew grass on the bottom, but it needed something on the top left corner, so I drew wind blowing the seeds to the left to make it balanced. Mt project looked a lot better just by adding a couple 0f lines on the left for balance. I revised the white space by adding wind lines on the left.

There's not really a story or a meaning behind the artwork, I just got inspired by a drawing I saw on the board and created something a little different. To me I think the drawing seems like it kinda symbolizes peace, grace, and happiness, just by the way it looks. I like to think of myself as a pretty happy person, and I like to make everyone around me smile, and laugh. So I guess my artwork relates to my life in that sense. On my artwork, there is a little bit of white space in it. I might revise my art by filling the white space in, I might do this by drawing more wind on the left, or making the grass a little longer, or adding more seeds blowing in the wind.
