My overall experience in art was awesome, I learned so much. I learned about shading, lighting, different perspective, tints and shades and more. It was so much fun being part of a class with amazing students and friends. I also made new friends that I never thought I would be friends with, and I got close with some of the friends I already had. I improved a ton with drawing as you can see from my capsule drawing to my self portrait and my mixed media drawing. In the beginning I had no idea how to shade or add texture to any of my art I just like to do it but now I know how and my art looks so much better than before.
Processes that I enjoyed were shading because it adds depth to your project and makes look 3D it really makes your art pop and make it seem like its living almost which is really cool. Processes that I didn't enjoy was making anything 3D which is kind of bad because I'm taking 3D art next year, but hopefully it can help me improve with that. I didn't likes those processes because I like putting something on paper, but making it 3d with anything is really hard and difficult, especially when you have an idea of what you want to do, but then you aren't able to do that because you weren't able to mold a certain substance. Like when I made my squid it was really hard to figure out what to use to make the squid shape. It also took a lot of time to figure out how I was going about to make the squid structure.
One project that I really did like was the mixed media project. I drew a picture of the side of my face with tons of sparkles and stars on it. That was the first project that made me really like art and made me realize what I can do. An other project that I really liked was the candy still life because thats when I first learned how to shade. I think I met the standard because as you can see every project I put in as much effort as I could, and I put everything that I learned into the art that I created. Art relates to my life because it has always been apart of it. If always enjoyed it since the time I was really little I remember loving art so much, I would sit or lay on the ground and draw anything, and I remember art was my all time favorite class all through elementary school to high school. And I will always love art forever.
