KidSpirit offers a variety of youth programs on the Oregon State University campus. Every KidSpirit employee is to be familiar with all programs offered at KidSpirit so that they can answer basic questions asked by parents, participants, or coworkers. If a parent asks for more detail than you can provide, please refer them to a coworker or take down their information and follow up with them later once you have found the answers for the questions they have posed.
Swim Lessons are offered for children from ages 2-18. Participants work on strokes, kicks and water independence in a non-competitive environment. Levels are based on Red Cross Learn to Swim Curriculum.
Gymnastics classes are offered for children ages 2-18. Participants work to master skills and understand the fundamentals of gymnastics. Skill requirements and routines are based on USA Gymnastics levels, standards, and practices.
Special Events and Birthday Parties are offered to local businesses and community members. Events range in activity and size, from personal parties to events for sports teams, scout troops and more. Participants spend an hour doing an activity of their choice (such as gymnastics, tennis, swimming, dodge ball, flag football, archery etc) and then, for birthday parties, have half an hour of cake and presents. We provide balloons, instructors, facilities and equipment, and we clean up after the party.
ACES Days (Activities to Create Excitement on no-School days) are mini-camps put on by KidSpirit when Corvallis, Albany or Philomath school districts have school off for grades K-8 on a weekday. Activities include sports, science and art classes. These days are similar to summer camp, with camp counselors and head instructors building lesson plans and having a good time!
Summer Day Camp offers activities for participants in grades K-12 for two-week sessions. The camps combine sports, activity, arts, education and theater activities.
Teen Leader (TL) program participants are middle school students (grades 6-8) who attend camp and wish to gain more leadership experience. TLs spend two weeks working on personal and professional development (writing resumes, working on interview skills, planning activities) and work with campers and other staff in the field.

OSU pays monthly on the last weekday of the month. Each KidSpirit staff is responsible for submitting their own time-sheet on the 15th of each month. In order to ensure your pay is accurate, it is critical you review your time-sheet every month. Your signature confirms that your hours are correct. Note that altering or creating a time record to misrepresent when you worked, or clocking in/out another employee, is grounds for dismissal.
EmpCenter OSU’s time clock system will track your hours every time you enter your login on arrival and departure. You must remember to clock in and out every time you arrive or leave work.
Instructors may clock in 5 minutes before their class begins, and office staff may clock in 3 minutes before their shift begins. Remember to clock out for all breaks. Document any mistakes or changes to your time card in the comments section. Be sure to clock in and out according to your schedule. KidSpirit trusts its employees and expects each employee to print an accurate time-sheet that reflects their personal schedule.
