Staff will make their own lesson plans by modifying previous lesson plans from box and making them more applicable to their teaching styles.
Google shared drive titled KidSpirit Lesson Plans Pacing Guide, you will find an Archery Lesson Plan Folder
Please slack Archery leadership if the "Archery Lesson Plan" folder has not been shared with you.
First stop within this folder is the folder "Archery Skills Cards & Lesson Plan Outline (2021)"
Take a look at the drive for further directions/explanation
The explanations of the skills card document goes in-depth of what each skill is composed of to be marked off as mastered so please use this as reference if you are unsure of certain skills
While using the skills card as a a lesson plan outline, take a look through the "Archery Lesson Plan" folder for previous lesson plans
When lesson plans are acquired, please "move or copy" the lesson plan into your sessions folder.
Each staff who are working MUST comment on this lesson plan in their classes folder as to what they will be teaching off the lesson plan/what they will be modifying (if anything).
Communication is key
Make sure that there is a lesson plan for each day that the class meets
If using the same lesson plan for multiple days, please state so in the comments and how the lesson plan is being split up between the days.
Make sure each staff has commented on ALL the lesson plans for the whole session of what they are going to teach
If you have questions slack the "archery-general" channel and tag archery leadership
While using the skills card as a lesson plan outline, you may create your own lesson plans
Make sure they are descriptive of what will occur throughout the whole class
Make sure the lesson plan is a pdf or word document when uploading it to the box (google docs will not open)
Make sure the lesson plans are turned in on time
Lesson plans should be uploaded to your classes folder no later than 3 days before your class is scheduled. Archery Leadership is here to help assist in anyway they can to get these turned in time so reach out if you need help with anything!
Each archer in the class will get evaluated by staff with a skills card to determine what the archer has mastered through the session and what they may still need to work on when/if they return to archery.
Once skills cards are filled out, please bring them to archery leadership to be put into ideal logic
Once we get these skill cards rolling, the next sessions staff can look in ideal logic to see if their students have already done archery and what they need to work on in their session
This will really help keep learning moving forward for the returning archers!
