During class staff will update their progress report worksheet for all their gymnasts. In the box next to each skill the coach will use lines to note how far each gymnast has come on each skill. The coach will use the 1-5 scale listed on the progress reports.
Log into ideal logic and click on the class.
Click on the progress report tab on the left hand side. After you are on that screen, navigate to the overall progress report in the drop down in the top left corner.
Click on the spreadsheet edit, and enter in the gymnast(s) final scores using the previous weeks as reference.
Ideal-Logic can have two windows open at the same time so keep this in mind!
Then, a comment needs to be entered for each event on the progress report. Comments should offer both constructive and positive feedback using a growth mindset, and should be specific!
After all scores and comments are entered, close the spreadsheet edit. On the progress report main screen, click on edit for each individual gymnast, and select the level they should be in next. To move to the next level, a gymnast should have all 4’s and 5s, although there are some possible exceptions, so be sure to check in with your supervisor. Although all of the skills are important, here are some determining skills for each level:
KG to Level (1-2): Should either be six, very close to turning six, and be able to behave and follow directions in class. If they have passed their Kindergym skills (which are the same as level 1 skills) they can move to level 2, if not they should move to level 1 appon turning 6.
Level 1 to Level 2: Should be able to do a pullover, backhipcircle, a cartwheel with legs kicking over their head, a handstand, should be able to do a lever on the beam, and should be able to listen and follow directions in class.
Level 2 to Level 3+: Should be able to do a pullover and a back hip circle, a backhipcircle underswing dismount, a bridge kick over, a roundoff, a handstand flatback on vault, and a lever with a hop on the beam.
Progress reports will be handed out at the end of the lesson on the last day. If the gymnast is absent on the last day, give the printed report to your supervisor so they can email a PDF of the progress report to the guardians.
1. After completing your progress reports for the day, go to the attendance tab and click "edit" next to the correct week/day. On your last two weeks/days you will need to go into progress reports and select which gymnasts are here before completing this step.
2. Write your initials in the description box.
