The name I chose as the title for this project is Synaphea. Synaphea is a genus of small shrubs native to Australia that usually produce small yellow flowers. The name synaphea derives from the ancient Greek word synaphe which means, "a connection" or "a union", as the flowers can only survive if growing together. This works as a beautiful metaphor for the point I’m trying to make about the importance of connection and unity when referring to womxn, and my belief that growing together is what keeps us alive as well.
