Grown at Home:
human lessons for radically entangled futures

Grown at Home is a collection of lessons and practices designed to facilitate our ability to build and participate in sustainable relationships with all beings, it is my offering to the melting pot of collective wisdom . I have drawn on teachings from Permaculture practitioners, Ecologists, Water Activists, Social Theorists and Anthropologists; and incorporated their wisdom into the following lessons.

The lessons are held in a hand bound book with wildflowers pressed between the binding-board and muslin. On each page there are illustrations that connect to the theme of the page itself- reaffirming the role narrative plays in this work. The lessons are intended to be explored outside and are designed for community use. I strongly believe that working with the soil, plants and land stewardship can help us all learn to be in community, in relationship with each other, better. I ask the user to engage practices of curiosity based learning, journaling, drawing, singing, play and design throughout this collection. These lessons invite us to acknowledge the wisdom, skill and experience that exists within each of us, and remind us to see this truth in all living things.I want to offer this; no one, individually, has all the answers, we don’t need to, but we do need to be willing to listen and we need to be willing to change. So it is in love and care that we commit to learning how to support each other and those not yet here.
