Noëlle Nations (she/her) is a dance artist based out of New York City. She began her dance
training in the Bay Area with award-winning dancer and choreographer Erin Yarbrough-Powell and traveled to study with choreographers Sean Curran and Gregory Dawson.
She graduated from The New School in 2024 with a dual degree in Contemporary Dance and Psychology. During her time at The New School, she performed work by Bill T. Jones & Arnie, Mariana Valencia, Joanna Kotze, and Beth Gill.

Her mission as an artist and mental health professional is to merge trauma healing and
movement in performance spaces and personal healing practices. She approaches art and
personal mental recovery and maintenance from a body-based viewpoint. “Movement is the Medicine” is the sentiment she embodies in every aspect of her vocation, artistic expression, and life.

Her senior thesis work “in my mind, out loud, in the shower” is an exploration of the person one allows oneself to be when they are alone. Moments of perceived solitude from everyday life are abstracted and theatricalized to create a dance piece that asks the question, “Who are we when we are alone, and is that state ever truly possible?”
