The Zone of Evaporation

Nature in the Auto-Immune Capitalocene

The Zone of Evaporation is a piece comprised of sound and image, which orbits around the concept of disconnection from nature, the commonality of land, as a subversive and intentional act of colonialism and capitalism to divorce humanity from nature for its own systematic gain. This piece looks as the digital age as a time period predicated by propaganda, illusions that transform the natural world to something alien. The term Zone of Evaporation is coined by Proust, who uses it to describe the imposed limitations of human perception.
