Oprchestra 1

OPCHESTRA 1.mp3

Inspired by the producer Monte Booker, Oprchestra 1 is an original composition using the OP1 portable synthesizer by Teenage Engineering produced by Ryland Logan. The OP1 is a digital hardware synth that has eight unique synth engines and a plethora of interesting effects and lfo controls. Using the OP1 and Taskam 414 tape machine, Oprchestra 1 is a five-part ‘orchestra’ that explores textures, instrumentation, and composition that is usually difficult to achieve in most DAWs. Heavily influenced by the #zero bounce movement on Soundcloud, this work explores unusual textures, unique melodies, quirky rhythms, infectious foley, and hypnotic loops that take you on a convoluted sonic journey. After owning the OP1 for less than a year Ryland Logan presents Oprchestra 1, a 5:25 minute electronic/hip-hop piece consisting of tracks wOmP^shift!, cwo, tea, mwah, and rekoob.
