For Now

My capstone project explores my tangled relationship with letter writing. The video introduces my larger ongoing project, Love in Transit, that addresses access intimacy, time traveling emotions, and alt text as poetry, which are elements that emerge from queer and disabled artists and writers*.

The video draws on fragments of source material, including a voicemail from my grandma and a story of a nature walk with my sister, paired with audio description and captioning as formal elements. It imagines ways of feeling in touch when you can’t touch each other because of ableism, separation, and loss.
