I strive to create theater-based work that is expansive and inclusive. As an actor/singer/performer I have found that there is not enough conversation surrounding the mental health of the people behind the projects; whether that be a play, musical etc. In my own experience I have found my internal emotions are not widely recognized by the performing arts industry although the emotions I feel are extremely universal amongst performers adn makers alike. My project, entitled “Acting Human” aims to bring together artists that are currently working in or study theater in any sort of way and unify them through asking each of them the same questions and compiling their answers to create a diverse film that allows for a sense of community and unity to both the viewer and the participant.
