In the Surf and Blues: Understanding Influences to Create Originality

I owe my musicianship, creative art form, and my Contemporary Music major to my favorite surf rock and blues musicians: artists like Dick Dale and Muddy Waters. Utilizing a greater comprehension through research, I was able to incorporate my influences’ techniques with my own creative ideas to produce my three original compositions, “Encinitas”, "A Universe", and “A Way Back Home”.
