As artists we are often asked to explain ourselves and provide context for our work. For some it may come easy, for others, it does not. This is something that I have come to terms with, as I often find myself in the latter group. My work is centered around lived experiences. A plethora of memories recalling times of hardship translates itself well onto the stage, but as they are performed they create memories of joy and healing. That's it. That's the reason. I feel it from inside and I am grateful to engage in new explorations both on stage and on the digital screens this new age brings to us. Every new experience is valuable. Onward and upward! Into the unknown! (or whatever Elsa said in that one movie.)
