Chrysalis Capsule

Hello! I'm Olivia Beyers, but my artist pseudonym is liv hayes. My project manifested as a singer-songwriter/folk sonic time capsule of my thoughts as I endure a cosmic and transformative period.

This is the first body of work I've ever felt fully proud of, and I am beyond excited to share it. I've released music before, but it wasn't anything that I actually enjoyed or believed in.. it felt like something I did because I thought I had to. My mindset and skills have undergone a much-needed metamorphosis, and this album bloomed as a result.

For a long time, I struggled to put my thoughts and feelings into words, and now I'm at a point where I'm able to pin them down and want to remember them. So... I wrote a collection of songs that capture the repetitive thoughts and feelings I've been having over the past few months.

'Chrysalis Capsule' tackles themes of storytelling, pet grief, growing old, watching the world grow up around you, insects, the impact of social media, family estrangement, rickety old people, flipped cliches, perceived, existentialism, pondering of preservation, memories, mental health, moving on, reassurance from the universe, and the cosmic inclination that everything will be alright.

After a long time spent inside an insecurity cocoon... I'm ready for the world to hear and listen to who I am and what I'm thinking. The transformative timing is right, and it's about time that I confidently and properly introduced myself.
