Double Slits with Laser

This demonstration shows how light behaves when passing through two slits. When the laser is shined at the double slits an interference pattern can be seen on the viewing screen.

Setup:

Place the ring stand on the lab table with laser and double slit plate. Setup a viewing screen in front of this system. Connect the webcam to the projector and set it up to show the viewing screen. Align the laser to hit the double slit.

Turn on the laser and view the interference pattern on the viewing screen. There are multiple double slit options that can be used or compared.
