This demonstration shows centripetal force as a ball is rolled around a circular track. Once the ball reaches the gap in the track it will fly off in a straight line.
Setup:
Place the rings and balls on the demo table.
Push the ball along the track. Once it reaches the opening it will fly out in a straight line.
This may be done under the document camera or the webcam to aid the students in viewing it. Graph paper can be placed under the demonstration to help show the straight line movement.
