This demonstration deals with images formed from curved mirrors. The mirage apparatus is made of two stacked, inverted concave mirrors with a hole in the top. When an object is placed in the middle of the bottom mirror, a real image is formed at the hole in the top mirror.

Setup:
Place the mirage apparatus on the lab table. Make sure there is an appropriate object inside it. Set up the webcam to view the top opening of the apparatus.
The webcam can be moved to view the actual object or the image.
