This demonstration is used to show the detection of subatomic and high energy particles.

Setup:
Get dry ice.
Set cloud chamber apparatus on the demo table and level it.
Place the dry ice slab under the clear box. Again, make sure the box is level. Consider wrapping the dry ice area with bubble wrap and securing with rubber bands and clips.
Soak the felt of the inside of the box with ethanol. Pour a small amount of ethanol in the bottom of the chamber.
Align a light to shine on the ethanol in the bottom of the chamber.
After cooling, small tracks will be visible.
A webcam may be setup to project a view of the chamber.
Notes:
Be careful when handling dry ice. Be sure to use gloves.
