RC Bulb Box

This demonstration shows a basic RC circuit. A switch is thrown and a capacitor is charged. One bulb lights initially until the capacitor is fully charged. A second switch is thrown and the a different bulb lights until the capacitor is drained.

Setup:

Screw two light bulbs (preferably of the same size) into the bulb box.

Place the bulb box on the demo table and plug it in.

Throw the switch to charge the capacitor. Once the bulb is out, throw the other switch to drain the capacitor.
