MAG can organize more than five programs in one season. Because of overwhelming number of tasks in organizing these programs, we have created a board template on Monday.com that could accommodate more than five programs in one board. This is similar to a spreadsheet but with additional features which you can't find in a Google Sheet.
To create a 'MAG Season' Board:
Open Monday.com Account > Events Workspace > Choose from Templates > Templates Created in Your Account > 'MAG Season' Board Template
Step 1: Open the 'Events Workspace' on Monday.com
Step 2: On the left side menu, 'Add Board'
Step 3: Choose 'Choose from templates'
Step 4: Choose 'Templates created in your account'
Step 5: Choose from the templates the 'MAG Season Template'
Step 6: Once chosen, go to 'Use Template'
Step 7: Rename your board name> Privacy is 'Main'> 'Create Board'
For us to accommodate the programs for the whole season in just one board, we will add the 'Individual boards' of the programs in the 'High-Level board'. We will now connect all the boards since we have already created the 'Individual Boards' previously. Make sure that you have already created 'Individual Boards' for all the programs for the season.
Step 1: Open the 'Events Workspace' on Monday.com
Step 2: On the left side menu, open the 'High-level' board you have created previously
Step 3: Add a column and choose 'Connect Boards' and then next, 'Select Boards'
Step 5: Find the board you want to connect (the 'Individual board' of a program) > Choose 'Connect Boards' > then 'Create a mirror column'
Step 6: Choose ' -- ', this indicates the 'Status Column'. A new column will be added on the right side.
Step 7: Go back to the 'column' of the board you have connected then select the item/task you want to connect. Make sure it is the same as what appears in the row.
Step 8: Add another column and select 'More columns'. Choose 'Mirror' and then 'Add to Board'
Step 9: Go back to the column that was newly created 'Mirror 1' and choose the name of the board you want to connect. Then select the subitem (Ex. Due date, People). If you want to add another column, you just have to repeat the process until all columns from the individual boards will be reflected there.
