Staff will be provided meals including breakfast, lunch and dinner during all major programs. The break times will be dependent on the flow of the event and also rely on how busy the program is. The base camp manager will let you know when it is time to have a break.
A staff area will be set up for you to eat and relax during your allocated break time, this will be out of the view of clients and behind the kitchen tent.
Tents (usually shared with one other on large programs) will be available for staff to sleep overnight during programs. You will not be paid to stay overnight. When the base camp manager dismisses you for your shift, you are able to leave the site. Due to our extremely early starts, we offer staff the opportunity to stay on site.
Staff are free to use the showers and clients available to clients, please make sure you leave them in a clean condition and do not due the facilities during peak times when clients need access.
Due to the nature of the MAG programs, staff will be required to work hard and fast for the majority of their shift. There is always plenty going on and happening. Breaks will be provided to ensure staff remain fresh and ready to go. Should you require a longer break or time to rest, see the base camp manager asap.
