The chai tea is one of the highlights of the "wakey wakey' activity of James during the second day of the program. This is delivered by James, with the help of another base camp staff, to the participant's individual tents before the time they wake up. It's a nice way of waking up clients to get ready for a day full of adventure activities.
600ml water
6 heaped tablespoons of chai
2.5L Milk
½ teaspoon ginger
3 x heaped honey
Cooking pot (size depending on the number of participants)
Chai Tea Provisioning: 250ml/person
The amount of water still depends on the size of the serving.
Once it's boiling and there's a nice aroma in the room, you can now proceed to the next step.
It is important to keep an eye on it because it spills over very quickly. Once it starts getting bubbly on the top, it's now time to turn it off
After it's rested for 15 mins, you can turn it back on again to reheat before the 'Wakey Wakey'. You just need keep monitoring it.
By using a strainer, pour the chai tea to another pot. Make sure to strain all of the floating ingredients.
