Back to School Night, scheduled for the evening of September 9, will no longer be an in-person event. Similar to last year, teachers will be pre-recording brief introductory videos and these will be shared through the Raider Report on September 9. Thank you for your understanding as all CCPS Back to School Nights will be virtual this year.

The owners of the new Eggs Up Grill Midlothian (located next to Publix) have generously offered to host a pancake dinner to benefit the Robious Middle PTSA. $8 tickets, sold in advance, gets you a fixed menu of pancakes, bacon or sausage and a drink. The best part is the Robious Middle PTA keeps 100% of the ticket sales! Both dine in and carryout options are available. Come check out a new local business and support your school at the same time. We are also looking for volunteers to help serve food that evening. Eggs Up is providing the food and cooks, RMS brings the servers. Both adults and students are welcome to volunteer. The Robious Middle PTA is now a PTSA!
Last week at our first meeting of the year, our members voted to convert the PTA to a PTSA. We are looking forward to having students officially join our leadership team and having a voice in the direction of the organization. Details about how students can apply to be Student Leaders with the PTA will be shared in announcements starting this week.
Thank you to all of the families that have already become PTSA members and made a donation to the Raider Fund. We currently have 341 members on a goal of 500 and have received $3799 towards our goal of $5000 for the Raider Fund. As a reminder, donations to the Raider Fund directly support the work and programming of the PTA including classroom supplies, student clubs, family programing, and teacher appreciation events. Rather than asking your students to sell items or participate in “Thon” fundraisers, we ask families to make a gift so that 100% of your donation stays at Robious. Dear Robious Family,
We are in need of a few items to help fill our Raider Relief Closet. The items we are most in need of are Backpacks, Earbuds, Headphones, Loose Leaf Paper, and Colored Pencils. Our students will greatly appreciate any donations. You can drop off donated items in the PTA bin outside the main office.

Gifted testing will occur in November-December 2021 for current Robious MS students. Parents and teachers interested in having their students tested for gifted program/services should complete the Gifted Testing Online Referral Form prior to October 27. If you cannot complete the online form, please call Melanie Smith at ext. 6226.

In partnership with Chesterfield's Citizen Information & Resources, Chesterfield Libraries and the Islamic Center of Virginia, donations are being collected for Afghan refugees arriving in the United States, including those arriving at Fort Lee. Regular and travel-sized items are needed and detailed below. All donations can be dropped off by students at TRAILER ONE for MS. WYATT, who will be coordinating with Chesterfield libraries.
