Attention all 8th Grade Parents and Students,
Our 8th grade students will take (2) Standards of Learning Tests this week using their Chromebooks. All students will take the Multiple Choice Writing Test on Tuesday, March 14th. Additionally, all 8th grade students will complete the Short Paper Writing SOL Test on Thursday March 16th.
We need your help! Please ensure your child gets a good night's sleep as well as a nutritious breakfast. Also, it is imperative on both days that your child bring a fully charged Chromebook with the charger to school.
Thank you for your support in making sure students are prepared this week!
Congratulations to the 7th and 8th grade orchestra groups, as well as the 7th and 8th grade band groups! All four of these groups of musicians earned Superior ratings from the Virginia Band and Orchestra Directors Association! Many thanks to Ms. Eaton and Ms. Foster for all of their hard work and passion. These students have worked extremely hard and this is a well deserved honor. Chorus assessments are later this week and we wish them the best!

Below is an article regarding internet safety and families. Parents, we are still experiencing many of our young scholars making poor decisions regarding the internet and social media. Please take the time to review and check your child's phone/device and have a conversation with her/him regarding internet safety.

Parents, we are experiencing an increasing number of students not being picked up on time after extra-curricular activities such as rehearsals, practices, and clubs. Please pick up your child on time, when the activity is scheduled to be over. Our staff members have to tend to their own families and appointments after they are done providing enrichment activities for our young scholars. Thank you.
