Robious Middle has officially been designated as one of America's Schools To Watch! Click here to find out what that means. The staff, students, and community are certainly well deserving of this recognition! I am very proud of all of them.
Hi! We just wanted to send out a reminder that the Robious Shoe Drive, Soles4Souls, is still going on until May 1st! So far we have collected over 400 pairs of shoes to give to people thatare in need! So when you are cleaning out your closets this spring, remember to donate anynew or gently used shoes to help support our Robious Shoe Drive! Please drop off your shoes in the Library or outside the cafeteria in the red and black trash cans. Thank you to the many who have already donated! For those who haven’t yet, there is still time! We really appreciate your generosity, support and for making this project a success! Regards, Emily Dorsey
One of our 6th graders, Josh George, is running a collection drive for Safe Harbor. Please share this with you students today and early next week.Safe Harbor is a non-profit organization designed to help women in need by donating necessities through schools and other organizations. Some items that we are collecting are zip-lock bags (all sizes), tissues, and paper towels. These items important because they are very helpful to mothers when leaving an abusive situation with their children. If you'd like to learn more, here is their website. http://safeharborshelter.com/
Many of our young scholars are attempting to navigate the world of social media. Social media can definitely be a source of positivity and information, but unfortunately, there are also many pitfalls one can fall into if precautions are not taken. I encourage all parents to check their students' social media accounts such as Instagram and Snapchat. We have recently found that some of our unsuspecting scholars have been "liking" and "following" some very inappropriate material. Expert Katie Greer will be presenting her message on internet safety for all interested students after school on Tuesday, March 14 in the forum at 3:30 pm. Click here for more information.
