Congratulations to the 7th and 8th grade chorus! This past week they had their district assessment with the Virginia Music Educators Association and both groups earned a Superior rating! 7th and 8th grade band and orchestra have earned this honor in recent weeks and with all three programs earning a Superior rating, Robious Middle School has earned the distinction of being one of very few schools to be named a VMEA Blue Ribbon Award school. This is a well deserved honor and one that Robious Middle has not received in 11 years. The young musicians as well as Ms. Eaton, Ms. Foster, and Ms. Longo have worked extremely hard and I could not be more proud.
Parents, Robious Raiders are asking for your help once more. Our TREX contest ends in April. We are neck and neck with another school, so we need to make that final BIG PUSH. Please save all plastic grocery bags, dry cleaning bags, outer wrappers from cases of water bottles, toilet paper and paper towels. bubble wrap,or bread bags. You or your students can bring them to the school. Just think of how much plastic we have diverted from our ever growing land fill. THANKS FOR GETTING INVOLVED, WE CAN DO THIS. RECYCLING IS GOOD. PLEASE DONATE YOUR PLASTIC BAGS.
Many of our young scholars are sleepy in school because they report being on social media or video games for most of the night. Studies indicate that adolescents need between 9 and 9.5 hours of sleep each night. Thank you for your support.
