On Tuesday, RMS will be administering the multiple choice portion of the 8th grade Writing SOL test. Please make sure your child gets a good night’s sleep, eats a healthy breakfast, brings a fully charged Chromebook to school for testing, and arrives at school on time. The second part of the 8th grade Writing SOL test will be administered on Tuesday, March 15th.
Based on the survey of 8th grade parents, there is a clear interest in bringing back several of our Spring traditions like the 8th Grade Dance and 8th Grade Field Day. The next step is to put together teams to work on the planning for these events. Many of you indicated a willingness to participate in this process- here is your chance! Join us this Wednesday, 3/9 @ 7:00 via Zoom to get the ball rolling. We can’t move forward without teams in place. If you can’t make this meeting but still want to help, send us a message: RobiousMiddlePTA@gmail.com
Register in advance for this meeting. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

Rising 7th Grade Parents:
Now is the time to get your child’s required shots updated for entry into 7th grade next year!
The Tdap vaccine booster is required by law for all students entering seventh grade. Tdap provides protection against tetanus, diphtheria, and whooping cough.
Effective last year, one dose of Meningococcal Conjugate vaccine is also required for students entering 7th grade. Meningococcal vaccines help protect against the bacteria that cause meningococcal disease.
You may acquire vaccines for your child at doctor’s offices, some pharmacies, and urgent care clinics. The Chesterfield Health Department offers vaccines by appointment only to children ages 18 and under. That phone number is 804-768-7454. Please call our school nurse if you have any questions about these requirements, or how to submit proof of immunization.
Robious Middle School's Soles4Souls Shoe Drive! By donating shoes to Soles4Souls, you’re not only cleaning out your closet, you’re helping the planet AND making an impact in someone’s life. All shoe sizes and styles will be accepted, but shoes must be paired by tying the laces or using rubber bands. We will collect shoes from March 14th to April 1st and donation bins will be located by the main office. Give shoes, give love!
6th and 7th grade course verification forms will be sent home tomorrow and Tuesday for final review. All schedule request changes are due by March 18. Submit changes here - http://bit.ly/rmsclasschange2223.
7th grade parents, if you have any questions or concerns about this year or next, please contact Melanie Smith - the counseling coordinator - at melanie_smith@ccpsnet.net or 378-2510, ext: 6226. She is handling the 7th grade caseload for the remainder of the school year.
A BIG congratulations to the 8th Grade Advanced Band on their SUPERIOR Rating and the 7th Grade Intermediate Band on their SUPERIOR Rating at the 2022 VBODA State Concert Band Assessment! This is the highest honor a middle or high school band program can receive in the state of Virginia. Both bands have worked extremely hard the last year to earn these ratings - all the while battling obstacles and restrictions during a pandemic. Congratulations 7th & 8th Grade Bands!
Congratulations to the Raider Winter Guard on earning 1st Place in the CGMS class at their second competition of the season at AIA Grassfield in Chesapeake this past weekend. They improved their score by over four points and had a wonderful performance!
Thank you to the Bellgrade Kroger for their donation of muffins, donuts, and juice. We truly value the support of our community partners.
