Yesterday was a bit of a rough start, but I want to thank all of you for your patience as CCPS worked through the connectivity issues we were all experiencing. I also want to thank all of our RMS teachers who worked extremely hard to make the first day of school special and were put in an extremely frustrating position through no fault of their own. This will get better with each passing day.
You have seen a lot of emails with an overwhelming amount of information. The most important thing for you to know is your child should report at 7:30 to Roundtable/Flex Block each morning. This class will be easily found using the following steps:

2. Choose the Canvas icon

Our teachers want to engage with your child. While our students are engaged in school virtually, we will be using Google Meets. Teachers have deeply missed their interactions with students, and we know our students are feeling similarly. As such, it is helpful and encouraged that students keep their camera feature turned on during direct instruction so that teachers and students can best engage in the lesson and with one another.
However, we also respect your right to have your student’s camera turned off, while still remaining attentive to the lesson instruction. Please reach out to your child’s teacher or administrator to express any concerns on this topic so that they may addressed accordingly.
OPPORTUNITY ALERT! Your student is invited to join Ms. Schafer (Health & PE) on a once-in-a-lifetime international travel experience with their peers in 2022 to Belize! OR, want to travel sooner? Although the official XC season is not until Feb 2021, a no cost XC Club sponsored by the Richmond Road Runners Club has been organized by Coach Calfee and Coach Raskind (both of JRHS). All runners are invited to join; we will be practicing 3 days a week and participating in a number of XC races. Coaches are also encouraged to sign up if they are interested in helping out. Here is the link: https://runsignup.com/rrrc_xc
Questions should be directed to Coach Calfee at christopher_calfee@ccpsnet.net.
Parents, please remember that during class time, teachers are devoting their time to students only. If you need to communicate with a teacher, you can email or call them outside of class time.

Click here to access updated information regarding student Chromebook support. A quick friendly reminder. Students that report having a lost or stolen Chromebook must pay $100 at Robious Middle School. The student will then be given a receipt, which they can take to one of the Chromebook service locations to receive another device. Students that report a lost or stolen power supply, need to order a replacement. This information is found on our homepage under Chromebook Basics.
