• Click here for the latest information regarding sports tryouts. Please remember that all students, whether they attend school in-person or virtually, may try out for interscholastic sports. In order to be eligible to participate in any sport, students must have a VHSL Physical dated May 1, 2020 or later and a Concussion Form completed. Students must be currently enrolled in at least 5 courses and must have passed at least 5 courses from the first semester to be eligible.

• No school on Friday, April 4 as this is the beginning of spring break.

• Attention All In-Person Band Students

You will begin bringing your instruments to school on Monday, April 19 (odd day classes) and Tuesday, April 20 (even day classes). Flutes, clarinets, oboes, tubas (mouthpieces), and percussion (sticks and mallets) will carry their instrument and supplies with them throughout the school day. All other instruments must be dropped off in the band room first thing upon entering the building in the morning. At the end of the school day, all instruments must be picked up from the band room and cannot be left at school overnight. Email Mrs. Eaton if you have any questions or concerns.

• Thank you to all the RMS families, teachers and staff that ordered Mellow Mushroom for our recent spirit night. We set a record for their most successful spirit night to date. Thank you also to Mellow Mushroom Midlothian for helping the RMS PTA support our teachers, staff and students.

• It's time for yearbook photos! This week, students will be given an opportunity to submit a photo of themselves for the yearbook. We ask that the photo be taken of the student's head and shoulders. Photos can be submitted through this google form! https://bit.ly/3rYSQ0D The window to submit photos will be open until April 1st. Please have your photograph submitted by that time. • 6th and 7th grade families,

Students and parents can now view their 2021-22 courses in StudentVue/ParentVue. Please click the attached letter for more information. The deadline for changes is Thursday, April 1.

• CCPSOnline registration is open for Summer 2021 and School Year 2021-22. Middle school courses will be offered again this summer and next year. Career Investigations (middle school required course) is also one of the courses being offered. Please visit the CCPSOnline website for entire course offerings and application information. We also recommend consulting with your school counselor for more details.

• James River High School Baseball will be holding tryouts Monday, April 12. An informational online meeting will take place on Monday, March 8th at 3:30. The meeting link is: meet.google.com/qvj-fyre-kss

• If you have an overdue library book from any CCPS library, you can return it to RMS. There is a book return cart located outside the main office.
