Here's a message from 7th grade science teacher, Ms. Kirsh:
Our Robious 7th graders will be starting a genetics unit in January and I am looking for families that may have a family member affected by a sex-linked, autosomal recessive, or autosomal dominant disorder that would be willing to be interviewed by my students. (Local families are preferred so my students are able to make a personal connection with the family.) They will be creating a presentation for their classmates to include information about the genetic disorder, a Punnett square, family pedigree, and support resources. If you would be wiling to assist my students, you can contact me at caroline_kirsh@ccpsnet.net. Thank you in advance you your willingness to help and raise awareness for my students.
