We are excited to greet all of our young scholars next week! 6th graders first day of school is Monday, August 23. 7th and 8th graders first day of school is Tuesday, August 24.
Face masks are required for all individuals entering school and riding the bus. This includes all students, staff, and adults (all individuals aged 2 and older). It is important to review the CCPS COVID-19 Guidance which can be found here. All of our learning spaces have been arranged so that there is at least three feet of social distancing between students.
If you are driving your student to school, take the first right hand turn after entering the main entrance and follow the parking lot cones to the drop off zone, which is the sidewalk outside of the cafeteria. Students being dropped off will enter door 4. We will begin welcoming students from parent vehicles at 7:10am. Please be patient and safe as we anticipate a high volume of vehicles. No one will be marked tardy if they are coming in late from drop off.
If you student is riding a bus, please be sure to check ELink to make sure your transportation information is accurate. Please help your student remember their bus number and be sure they know their home address. Routes and times are continually being updated so please take time to check on this as late as Sunday evening just in case something has been adjusted. If you have questions, please call the Transportation Department at 804-748-1656.
The end of our school day is 2:05pm, but we will begin dismissing students at 1:55 because we are staggering by last name alpha and by bus number so that they are not all exiting the building at once. Students will begin loading buses and exiting to parent pick up at 1:55 (parent pick up is the same location as parent drop off).
Remember that if your student is interested in trying out for any interscholastic sports that they need to have a completed concussion form and VHSL physical form completed by a medical professional dated May 1, 2021 or after. Physicals will be available at Robious Middle School on Friday, August 27 from 2:15 to 3:30pm for $30.00 if your child needs one. Please make checks payable to Dr. Jim Miller. The physical form can be found here.
All applicable fees can be paid here: https://osp.osmsinc.com/chesterfieldva/
Please be sure to select Robious Middle. There will not be a fee for chromebooks this year.
Cross Country will begin on Monday, August 30th. Practice will run from 2:15 - 3:45. There are no tryouts for the team; however, we ask that everyone be able to run at least one mile and have a completed physical and concussion form.
