• You have received a lot of information from CCPS lately. One of the more important documents sent to you was Project Restart Updates which includes the updates made to the hybrid learning options. I will be sending out a survey tomorrow (9/29) so that you can let us know your final decision by the end of the week. The administration and counseling department will be hosting a virtual community forum on Thursday, October 1 at 4:00pm to present the options and answer any questions. I will send a meeting link later this week.

• Here are your 3 options in a nutshell:

1. Beginning November 9th, come to school two days a week (A-K on Mondays and Tuesdays, L-Z on Thursdays and Fridays). On Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, everyone tunes in to all of their classes and receives synchronous instruction for the first portion of class. On Wednesdays everyone will be at home, but we will all tune in for Roundtable AM at 7:30am together. The rest of Wednesday will be dedicated to asynchronous learning, remediation, small groups, etc.

2. Beginning November 9th, stay at home all five days of the week with the intention of returning to in-person instruction when you feel that it is right for your family. On Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, everyone tunes in to all of their classes and receives synchronous instruction for the first portion of class. On Wednesdays everyone will be at home, but we will all tune in for Roundtable AM at 7:30am together. The rest of Wednesday will be dedicated to asynchronous learning, remediation, small groups, etc.

3. You have decided that your student will definitely not be entering the school house at all this school year and will be participating in CCPSOnline.

• Calling all Robious Middle School artists! It's time for the Reflections Art Contest! Are you a painter? Photographer? Dancer? Filmmaker? Musician? Do you love to write? We want to see your work! The Reflections Art Contest is a nationwide arts festival that celebrates the creativity of student artists. This is your chance to share your work and have it seen by your school community. • Diversity and Inclusion Team Meeting- Join us Tuesday, October 6th from 4-5 for our Parent Diversity and Inclusion Committee meeting. Our meeting will be focused on ensuring all students feel accepted at Robious Middle School. Here is the link to join: meet.google.com/ctd-bsqz-hgt

• Scouts BSA Troop 888 for Girls - Open House

Date: Saturday, Oct 3, 2020

Time: 10 am - 1 pm (sign up for one of two sessions: 10-11:15 am & 11:45- 1 pm)

Location: Outside in the field, in front of Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church, 1100 Mt. Pisgah Dr, Midlothian

Girls ages 11-17, and their parents, are invited to check out Scouts BSA Troop 888 during our Open House. Meet our Scouts & Leaders and get a taste of Scouting. Hear about the fun adventures our Troop has every month, such as camping, kayaking, tubing & other water sports, hiking, biking, rock-wall climbing, ropes course, community service and more, and learn more about the Scouts BSA program (Scouts BSA is formerly Boy Scouts). The Troop is Scout-led, guided by experienced Scout leaders.
